Lady Alexandra, The Countess Severen is a member of The Court of Winter and acts as the social guardian and protector of Gloriana Balmoral. She is highly proper in manners and dress, even exceeding the standards and morals of the well-respected Old Guard of Spring. Her penchant for restrictive and period-accurate late Victorian/Edwardian clothing is notable, as is her position of apparent power in the Winter court. She is the only individual on earth anyone has ever described as a "friend" of Princess Anne.
She has a serpentine appearance, very similar to the Medusa of legend, with her hair being a nest of green, writhing snakes.
